The Manchester Road Race Committee has confirmed that a Virtual race will be available for an unlimited number of runners this fall.
Registration for the Virtual Race will open on October 1st.
The fee to register is $20.
Registered runners will download the brand new Manchester Road Race app with GPS capabilities to their smart phones. Participants can then run the 4.748-mile distance at any location of their choosing. The app will measure their distance, signaling when they have completed the full course, and will upload their time to race officials. Runners will be able to see their progress on an “event map” of the actual MRR course, no matter their actual location.
The Virtual Race must be completed between 8:00am EST on Thursday, Nov 19 and 9:00pm EST on Wednesday, Nov 25, 2020.
Completion of the Virtual Race (within the dates and times listed above) will qualify as an Official MRR finish and count towards Longevity streaks.
Alternatively, the race may be run in the comfort of your own home using our Simulated App.
Due to the Pandemic and travel advisories, the MRR will not be inviting elite professional athletes come to Manchester to compete and will not be awarding prizes this year.
The Ray Crothers Manchester Road Race Blood Drive will be held on Friday, Nov 27th from 8:00am to 4:30pm at Manchester High School. However, many other race week events have been cancelled. To see a list of cancelled events please click here.
We invite all participants to share their Road Race and Costume photos by clicking here. Photos will be available for viewing on our website.
The Manchester Road Race respectfully reminds all of our runners and spectators to practice safe social distancing, wear facial coverings when distancing is not possible, and avoid gathering in large groups.
